Zuhrić, Bandić, Dević: We will oppose this government, criminal complaint against Okerić and his removal from the head of the Assembly

(Patria) - The heads of the SDA, Party for BiH and DF clubs Mahir Dević, Muamer Bandić and Albin Zuhrić held a press conference after yesterday's events in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton.

Albin Zuhrić, head of the DF club, said that yesterday's move showed that we have a non-functional canton.

„Seven or eight people sat and discussed laws as if it were a café gathering. We break one rule, then the fifth rule, then the landfill doesn't work, you have reductions, trucks don't work, oil is not procured. All this happens because there is no systemic approach. You no longer need a quorum. Yesterday's session is most directly related to the lives of citizens. It can be swept under the rug, but it will all come back to haunt us. We will oppose this government. There will be lasting consequences from what they are doing,“ said Zuhrić, who had to leave the press conference.

The head of the SDA club, Mahir Dević, said they are witnessing legal violence led by Elvedin Okerić, but also the deputy chairperson.

„We will file a request for a constitutionality review of this entire session after the item on councilor questions because the quorum was lost. All items were without a quorum. We have prepared a criminal complaint against the chairperson of the Assembly. We have no other mechanisms to stop this kind of banalization of democracy in Sarajevo,“ said Dević.

The head of the SBiH club, Muamer Bandić, said there is a continuity of violence against the law.

„Of the five laws from yesterday's session, four laws were not planned in the work program we adopted,“ said Bandić, who read out the provisions of the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure concerning the session and voting at the session.

„We do not divide the session, nor can it be viewed partially as someone thinks. Yesterday, about nine representatives were present. The Constitution is the supreme legal act, but it is obvious that Okerić is above the constitution. I don't know if this kind of political arrogance has ever existed in the Sarajevo Canton. I am sure that such politics will lead us to a state of social unrest. If you have this kind of violence against the law, then you can imagine what is happening in the executive authorities,“ said Bandić.

He said that a quorum should have been present throughout the discussion on the laws.

Bandić also reminded that the conclusion to pay young people the difference in subsidy for the purchase of their first property has never been implemented, as well as some other conclusions.

"I will insist that the Bosniak Club initiate the removal of Elvedin Okerić; we cannot allow this kind of legal violence," Bandić announced.

Dević said that the trio created a fictitious budget that they „inflated by 300 million KM.“

"Today they have a problem with paying salaries and vacation pay. Those funds are not in the budget. That is why I initiated an inquiry about revenues in the budget and requested that the Minister of Finance be brought before us, and the budget is not being filled as they thought," said Dević.

Dević said that the quorum was lost after councilor questions and that the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH will certainly invalidate everything adopted after that, which could cause consequences.

He reminded that the sessions of the House of Peoples and the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton overlapped, and as the opposition, they proposed taking a break and continuing the session after they finished with the House of Peoples.

„There were nine people in the hall. They decided to engage in unconstitutional and anti-procedural violence led by Okerić. We violated the Constitution. The Rules of Procedure must be in accordance with the Constitution. And whether we will change the Rules of Procedure and this monstrosity they created. They made it so that we cannot ask a question to the minister at the session," said Dević.

Bandić added that he will initiate all activities within his political engagement.

„We must be obedient to the Constitution of the Sarajevo Canton, not to Okerić," he said.
