Zrinjski hosts Slovan

(Patria) - Zrinjski footballers will host Slovan from Bratislava tonight at the Pod Bijelim Brijegom stadium in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

The "Plemići" play one of the most important matches in the post-war history of Bosnian-Herzegovinian football, as they have an excellent chance to eventually reach the group stage of a European competition.

If Zrinjski eliminates Slovan and reaches the third qualifying round of the Champions League, they will have at least the group stage of the Conference League in their hands, thus becoming the first BH club to play in the group stage of a European competition.

Slovan eliminated Zrinjski in the Conference League play-off last year, so the "Plemići" will have extra motivation tonight against the Slovak representative.
