Dragons routinely against Gibraltar

Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Gibraltar 5-0 in the qualifiers for next year's World Cup in Russia, writes NAP.

The goals for the Dragons were scored by Vedad Ibišević, the first in the fourth minute and the second in the 43rd minute. Avdija Vršajević scored in the 52nd minute. Two minutes later, Edin Višća increased BiH's lead to 4-0. Ermin Bičakčić, assisted by Ibišević, scored for the final 5-0 in the 93rd minute.

According to the FIFA rankings, Gibraltar is among the worst-ranked national teams in the world, sitting in 205th place, alongside Somalia, Tonga, Djibouti... The BiH national team holds the 29th position on this list. However, despite being significantly weaker than the Dragons, at last night's press conference, the BiH team stated that no opponent should be taken lightly, and they would fight and give their all to secure a victory.

The coach of the BiH team, Mehmed Baždarević, did not lead the team from the field tonight due to a suspension. Instead of Baždarević, the Dragons' match was led by the professional staff.

BiH played tonight without four regular players, including Edin Džeko, Senad Lulić, Ognjen Vranješ, and Mato Jajalo. They received suspensions in the match against Greece in November last year.

BiH is playing in Group H along with Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Estonia, and Gibraltar. After tonight's victory at Bilino Polje, BiH has ten points, the same as second-placed Greece. Belgium leads the table with 12 points. Belgium is also hosting Greece tonight, so the future standings at the top of the league will depend on this match.
