Dragons took the lead, but in the end Poles took all the points from Zenica

The football national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina suffered a defeat against the national team of Poland tonight in the 2nd round of the Nations League at their stadium in Bilino polje, with Poland winning 1:2.

Thus, Dušan Bajević's chosen ones failed to confirm the good result from Florence, where they drew 1:1 against Italy on Friday.

The Dragons entered this match similarly to the one against Italy. They kept the ball at their feet and had the initiative, but did not take too many risks in the attacking play.

After that, we saw several crosses from Haris Hajradinović after set pieces – free kicks and corners, but the Polish defenders had no problem clearing the danger in front of their goal.

Then the visiting team took the initiative, threatening for the first time through Jozwiak in the 21st minute. He shot wide of Asmir Begović's goal.

A minute later, a penalty was awarded to Bosnia and Herzegovina. After a cross from the left, Kamil Glik pushed Elvir Koljić in the air, and Cuneyt Cakir pointed to the white spot without much thought.

Hajradinović placed the ball and sent it into the bottom left corner of Łukasz Fabiański's goal to give the Dragons a 1:0 lead.

The Dragons gained momentum after the leading goal, played a few more quite good attacks, but failed to threaten the Polish goal again. In the final minutes of the first half, they put great pressure on our goal.

Polish chances came from Grosicki, Glik, and Milik. The Dragons somehow managed to defend, but failed to do so in the 45th minute. Grosicki crossed from a corner, Glik was the tallest in the air, and headed the ball into the net for a 1:1 equalizer.

The first serious situation in the second half we saw in front of our goal in the 56th minute. Jozwiak broke down the right side, crossed to Milik, but Begović saved with his intervention at the last moment.

Three minutes later, a great chance for Edin Višća after a cross from Eldar Ćivić, but he couldn't connect with the ball as he wanted.

The Poles continued to cause problems for the Dragons' defense, especially on the flanks, and took the lead in the 67th minute. Rybus broke through on the left, crossed, and Grosicki, who was fantastic tonight, headed the ball into the net for a 1:2 lead.

The Dragons could have responded immediately after a fantastic attack in the 72nd minute. Hadžiahmetović sent a long ball for Višća, who brilliantly laid it off for Koljić, but our striker sent it over Fabiański's crossbar.

Edin Džeko had another chance in the 78th minute, but his shot was saved by Fabiański.

Five minutes before the end, Višća missed a great chance after a cross from Hodžić. He was alone in front of Fabiański's goal, but didn't connect with the ball properly...
