Dragons miss out on playoffs, Finland too strong at Bilino Polje

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - BiH ends another qualifying cycle in football with a failure. At Bilino Polje, Finland defeated BiH with a score of 1-3, leaving BiH without a chance to qualify for the World Cup.

Ivaylo Petev's desperate Dragons were not helped by having an extra player since the 37th minute of the match, and even in such a constellation of forces, they conceded as many as two goals.

The scorers for the Finns were Marcus Forss, Robin Lod, and Daniel O'Shaughnessy, while the only goal for our national team was scored by substitute Luka Menalo. BiH is left without a chance for the playoffs as they are second to last in the table with seven points one round before the end, while second-placed Finland now has 11. In between, in third place, is Ukraine with nine points.

The football national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without Edin Džeko, is definitely not the same team, and we received confirmation of that, as well as a preview of what awaits us in the years to come, today in Zenica. At Bilino Polje, Finland defeated the Dragons 1:3 in the 7th round of qualifications for the World Cup in Qatar and extinguished their dreams of the playoffs.

The only scorer for our team, Luka Menalo, said that with so many mistakes as our team had, no one can win.

Finland and Ukraine will fight for second place in our group.
