SARAJevo, (Patria) - The national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play a match against Greece tonight in Athens at the "Spyros Louis" Olympic Stadium as part of the eighth round of qualifications for Euro 2020. Robert Prosinečki's team must go for a win to stay in the race for the European Championship. The Greece-Bosnia and Herzegovina match is scheduled for 8:45 PM.
"It won't be an easy game for us. We will try to play at a high tempo, because that's how we beat Finland. Everyone played as one and fought. It was very high quality and that's the only way we can win. Of course, it's not the same playing at home and away, but we will do everything to win three points," said Prosinečki.
BiH has visited Greece four times. The first two times the Greeks won (3:0 - 1996 and 3:2 - 2007), followed by two draws (0:0 - 2012 and 1:1 - 2016).
Robert Prosinečki's team was visited at yesterday's training by former national team player and AEK player Ognjen Vranješ.
The main referee of the match will be Felix Zwayer, assisted by his compatriots Thorsten Schiffner and Marco Achmüller. The fourth official is Christian Dingert.
The BiH national team approaches this match as the fourth-placed team in group J with 10 points, while Greece is fifth with 5 points.
