Dragons miss out on Olympic Games qualifiers in Paris

(Patria) - The Basketball Dragons were defeated today in Gliwice by hosts Poland in the final pre-qualifying match for the Olympic Games in Paris.

The Poles, after great drama and a battle that lasted throughout the entire match, once again secured a victory over our basketball players.

The final score was 72-76, and by quarters it was 23-23, 16-17, 15-14, 18-22.

In a fairly balanced game, the decisive factor was the last quarter, which we lost by 4 points, thus missing out on the Olympic qualifiers.

The best for the Dragons was Lazić with 16 points, Atić scored one less, and Nurkić 11. Džanan Musa finished the match with 10 points.

For Poland, Sokolowski scored 16, Balcerowski 14, and Ponitka and Zolnierewicz 10 each.

Let us remind you that Poland defeated us twice in the pre-qualifiers, which they hosted in the city of Gliwice. In the first match, played six days ago, the hosts won with a score of 85-76.
