The Dragons are coming to a play by children from the "Vladimir Nazor" school

Edin Tuzlak, a volunteer at the "Vladimir Nazor" center, devised the play "First Time on Stage with the Dragons" and it largely refers to the players of our BiH national football team, popularly called the Dragons. After two months of intensive preparation, the play is ready and performed by children with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and children from families with, to put it mildly, dysfunctional relationships.

- And all these children are our actors today, who, for their age and condition, have managed to memorize a more than complicated text. If anyone is proof that millions are not needed for happiness, then it is them. And, I can safely say that those who have not been hugged by a child with Down syndrome do not know what love is – says Tuzlak in a letter sent to the Football Association of BiH.

As the Patria news agency has learned, most of the Dragons will come to this play, including Edin Džeko, Zvjezdan Misimović, Miralem Pjanić, Senijad Ibričić, Vedad Ibišević... all to support the children from "Vladimir Nazor".

According to them, there is no one important behind them, no one who could help them in their wish to bring the Dragons to the play.

- Behind us is our immense desire to make this day memorable for these children for the rest of their lives. Maybe I am naive, a dreamer who always starts with myself, but I want to believe that you will meet us halfway! All we need is for the players and the coach (who is also often mentioned in the play) to set aside an hour during those ten days they will be in Sarajevo and come to the play. I know they will like it. I believe that spending time with these children brings happiness, and we will certainly need it in Brazil. Please, allow them to wish them luck too – states Tuzlak.

The play begins with the host, our "Tarik Helać", coming on stage and telling the audience that the director has given him the task of creating a play for the Center's 46th anniversary. He further says that he would make it, but he has no one to do it with!? At that moment, the curtain rises and "Modni Mačak" tells him: "How do you have no one, what are we!?" And their dialogue begins, in which the host looks for actors and singers who could perform in the play. After realizing that they can act and sing, they come up with the idea that they need PR for success. That is, someone who will attract people to come to the play. The "manager" suggests bringing the Dragons! "The Dragons! We need to bring the Dragons! Preparations for Brazil are underway, we have a good chance of bringing them! If they come, all of BiH will come to the play!" There is a character called "Hater" who tells them: "Who will come to see you, look at yourselves!?" To which one of the actors objects and says: "What's wrong with us?" Another confirms: "Yeah, what's wrong with us!?" "Hater" replies: "You hear, Džeko is coming to YOU!? Or Misimović, ha, ha, ha!" To which the character playing the footballer replies: "What about Džeko, I nutmegged him...", ironically imitating some who had actually said that about Edin Džeko.
