Crimes in Gacko: Indictment filed against Govedarica

(Patria) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has filed an indictment against Goran Govedarica, born in 1957 in Gacko. The accused is charged that during the war and armed conflict in BiH, as a member of the reserve force of the Public Security Station (SJB) Gacko, he acted contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Conventions relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

"He is charged with physically mistreating and abusing a civilian of Bosniak nationality in the area of Gacko in June 1992, and with killing another civilian of Bosniak nationality by firing a firearm. The accused is charged with committing the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population. The indictment has been forwarded to the BiH Court for confirmation," the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced.
