Golden basketball players beat Serbia, Musa top scorer with 27 points

The cadet basketball team of our country, led by selector Josip Pandža, managed to achieve their first triumph at the cadet championship that started today in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas. Our boys played excellently in the second half of the match and ultimately secured a deserved victory with a score of 76:56, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Serbia was better only in the first quarter of the match, which ended with a three-pointer by Njegoš Sikiraš. The final score at the end of the first period was 21:18 in favor of our opponent. However, thanks to an excellent performance by Džanan Musa in the second quarter, our team led at halftime with a score of 41:35.

Serbia threatened at the start of the third quarter, but our boys played brilliantly towards the end. A big run was made, and we eventually took a lead of 61:44.

Excellent defense, several drives by Alikadić, great play by Musa, Sikiraš joined in, and we had a big lead.

We maintained it until the end and ultimately recorded a secure triumph. In the ranks of our team, the best performance was delivered by Džanan Musa with 27 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, while Njegoš Sikiraš scored 9 points and had 7 rebounds. For Serbia, the best performance was recorded by Aleksa Matić with 13 points.
