Gold Medal for Klas Flour

Klas flour type 500 has won the Gold Medal for quality at this year's 42nd International Agricultural and Food Industry Fair held in Gradačac, reports the news agency Patria.

Klas flour type 500, in a 25 kg package, was among the other exhibited products that entered the shortlist for quality assessment, which was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences of the University of Sarajevo.

"This is yet another confirmation of the quality of Klas flour, and we are extremely pleased that this time, after international medals of the highest rank, the recognition comes from domestic reference institutions such as the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Sarajevo. Klas is the leader of the milling, bakery and food industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we achieve top-quality flour by procuring first-class wheat, producing in accordance with internationally recognized quality management standards ISO and HACCP, applying Halal norms, but also with a rich manufacturing experience of 113 years," said the director of Klas d.d. Sarajevo, Rusmir Hrvić.

Klas's wheat processing mill is the largest and most modern in Southeast Europe, with a total installed capacity of 450 tons per day. It is a tower mill, where equipment is installed on the upper floors, while storage space is on the lower floors. Thanks to new equipment purchased in Italy, production productivity has been increased, while the entire production process in the mill is computer-controlled and automated, Klas announced.
