AJLA LUPIĆ'S LIFE Behind the Doors of Amora Studio: A Story of Work and Courage of a Person with a Disability

(Patria) - Ajla Lupić from Sarajevo, a person with 100 percent disability, with the support of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, has launched her own beauty salon, Amora Studio. Through this project, Ajla has turned her love for beauty into a business, secured a job for herself, and taken an important step towards greater professional and personal independence.

Ajla had a prior interest in cosmetics and a desire to work in a field that offered her space for creativity, contact with people, and continuous learning. However, as with many who want to start their own business, the biggest challenge was securing the initial conditions – space, equipment, and a secure foundation for work.

"The Fund made this salon possible," says Ajla Lupić, emphasizing that the support was crucial at the moment she decided to take an important life and professional step.

Ajla managed to equip the salon and start a business that today brings her greater security, independence, and the feeling that she is building her future through her own work.

Challenges, Courage, and a New Beginning

The path to independent work was not easy. Ajla openly speaks about moments of uncertainty, self-doubt, and fear of failure. Starting a business requires responsibility, perseverance, and daily investment, and for persons with disabilities, the obstacles can often be greater.

"There were moments when I wondered if I could do it," Ajla recalls.

Nevertheless, she decided to continue. With the support she received, as well as her own persistence, she managed to overcome initial doubts and build a space where she now works with clients, develops her skills, and strengthens her business experience.

For Ajla, Amora Studio is a place where her decision not to give up on her goals is confirmed daily. The salon has brought her new responsibility, but also a sense of fulfillment, as she does what she loves while building her own economic independence.

"This was a new beginning for me," Ajla states.

An Example of Support with Real Results

Ajla's story shows how much professional rehabilitation and employment programs for persons with disabilities can have a concrete impact. Institutional support in this case did not remain merely at the level of assistance, but resulted in the launch of an independent activity, the creation of a job, and the strengthening of a person's potential to actively participate in the labor market.
