SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Miners of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine are again not at their workplaces today, but have started gathering in the company premises.
Three days ago, miners from Raspotočje and Stara jama refused to continue working due to the Mine's management decision to reduce their salaries.
We remind you that first the relevant minister Nermin Džindić ordered the director of Elektroprivreda BiH, Admir Andelija, to solve the problem, but it was not done.
Then, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, had to react, ordering that the aforementioned decision be annulled and stating: "no one should reduce miners' salaries at this moment".
"We promised that the electricity supply would be unquestionable, and miners play an exceptional role in that chain, working in a system of 14 days of work - 14 days of isolation. This is a great sacrifice and requires great discipline. Therefore, no one should reduce miners' salaries, and they will not be reduced," said Novalić.
