Citizens of Zenica to hold protest walk at noon due to general hopelessness in the country

(Patria) - In Zenica today, starting at 12:00 PM, a peaceful protest walk will be held at Alija Izetbegović Square, and organizers have called on citizens to join in a collective expression of dissatisfaction due to the economic situation, inflation, price increases, and other social problems.

One of the organizers, Zlatan Školjić, emphasized that the goal of the protest is to highlight the burning issues affecting all citizens, regardless of their political or national affiliation.

"I call on all my neighbors and friends, regardless of who they are and where they come from, to walk together for a better tomorrow – our tomorrow, the tomorrow of our children and our children's children. It doesn't matter which party you belong to, which religion or nation, what matters is only that you want good for future generations," Školjić stated.

The organizers demand urgent measures to curb inflation and reduce labor taxes, a review of public companies responsible for heating and energy, as well as greater transparency in the spending of budget money. Special focus is also placed on the problem of peer violence, with a demand for concrete measures from the competent institutions, and for pensioners to be presented with a clear plan for pension increases.

"We are calling for a peaceful walk. I repeat, peaceful. I call for reason and for raising awareness. I hope it will be a beautiful and sunny day, so the walk can truly be a walk," Školjić added.

The participants will send a clear message to the authorities at all levels through silence, emphasizing that this is not the fight of one political option, but of all citizens who want change. The organizers called for solidarity with the protests in the region, stating that non-violent protests are proof of the society's democratic maturity.
