Women Saved the Honour of Sarajevo Football: Collapse of Premier League Clubs from the Capital of BiH

The curtain has fallen on another football story in our country. The BiH championship title was secured by Zrinjski from Mostar, while Radnik from Bijeljina will play in European competitions as the BiH Cup winner, along with Široki Brijeg and Sloboda from Tuzla, who secured their places on the European stage through the league competition, writes the Patria news agency.

So, the line has been drawn and the referee has blown the final whistle, and this year, that end particularly affects Sarajevo's Premier League clubs. Last season, when Sarajevo won the title, Olimpic the Cup, and Željezničar also qualified for Europe, it was a season dominated by Sarajevo teams... This year is a different story... Do we need to mention that Slavija from Lukavica (East Sarajevo) was relegated from the league....

The only thing the capital of BiH can be proud of in the world of football this year is the women's football club SFK 2000 Sarajevo, which is playing in the Champions League! This season, the women have saved the honour of Sarajevo football...

What went wrong, no one can say with certainty, but sincere fans ultimately said, "If Sarajevo and Željo reach the European stage because of Sloboda's success, then they shouldn't even play in the Europa League"...

Tuzla is also not entirely happy, because their team did not win any trophies, even though they were close to the championship title, and were defeated by Radnik in the Cup final.

Radnik deservedly made club history and lifted the Cup winner's trophy. Sloboda is left to break the curse of losing finals, and as consolation, unlike the Sarajevo clubs, they will treat their fans to European matches.

However, what is particularly worrying at the end of this football story is match-fixing, and when the Macedonian expert Milko Đurovski, who managed Slavija, speaks publicly about all of this and calls on the police to investigate BiH football, it is clear why our stadiums are empty, and journalists often write that the BiH league is ambitiously named the Premier League...

Until the next referee's whistle to start, police authorities should urgently react and investigate Đurovski's claims. He is happy to be leaving BiH, just as the football audience has breathed a sigh of relief, because often on our fields, instead of football, we watch a farce... called football!
