Željo left without a coach: Slobodan Krčmarević resigns

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Football club Željezničar has scheduled an emergency press conference for today at 5 PM in the Blue Salon of the Grbavica stadium.

The head of the coaching staff, Slobodan Krčmarević, will address the media.

Although the club from Grbavica has not announced the reason for the emergency press conference, the Novinska agencija Patria learns from sources close to the club that Krčmarević could resign from the position of head coach of the team.

The fans are not satisfied with their team's performance in the current part of the new season and expressed their dissatisfaction after last night's match against Čelik in Zenica, which their club lost 1:0.

From the same source, we learn that Krčmarević immediately after last night's match put his mandate at the disposal of the management of FK Željezničar.

We recall, Krčmarević took over the Željezničar team at the beginning of June, but failed to meet the expectations of the club's management and fans, so after less than two months on the bench of the team from Grbavica, he could leave.

The Serbian expert has so far led the team in five official matches, three European and two domestic, in which he recorded three wins and two losses. However, the fans are completely disappointed with the way Željezničar plays, because even in the matches where they celebrated victory, Željezničar did not show any special game.

An identical situation in Željezničar occurred last year, when Slavko Petrović was fired before the first round match of the domestic championship, and the team was taken over by Admir Adžem.

For now, there is no information on who could succeed Krčmarević on the Željo bench, if he indeed leaves the coaching position.
