Željeznice FBiH: Thanks to all donors, reconstruction of the railway near Donja Jablanica will commence after obtaining approvals

(Patria) - Preparatory works on clearing, rehabilitation, and dismantling of the damaged railway at the Komadinovo Vrelo site (Donja Jablanica) began on November 30, and after obtaining the necessary approvals, reconstruction will commence, followed by the commissioning of the railway.

As announced by Željeznice FBiH, construction participants will be involved in the process in accordance with the Law on Spatial Planning of FBiH.

"We sincerely thank the donors for their generous assistance, especially: CENGIZ INSAAT SANAYI VE TICARET A.S. - Zenica Branch, which donated the project documentation and construction works for the reconstruction, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Sarajevo, which donated the project documentation revision services, INSTITUTU IGH d.o.o. Mostar, which donated supervision services during the execution, and the Gagula Law Firm, which will provide free assistance in creating the legal framework for the project implementation," stated the Acting CEO-General Director of ŽFBiH, Mirza Hadžibegić.

Along with the expert teams of Željeznice FBiH, who will coordinate the upcoming activities and participate in the reconstruction of the railway's upper structure and contact network, compliance with prescribed standards and the required quality of executed works will be ensured.

Hadžibegić also thanked numerous domestic and foreign institutions and companies that have reached out and offered their help and support, and emphasized that he hopes for the soonest possible re-establishment of railway traffic on the Ostrožac - Grabovica section, until which time the Company's Management is in continuous session.

Željeznice FBiH will continuously and timely inform the public about all phases of the railway reconstruction."
