Željezničar comes back from two goals down to draw at Grbavica

(Patria) - Football players of Željezničar and Dinamo Minsk drew 2:2 tonight at Grbavica in the first leg of the Conference League qualifiers.

The guests from Belarus led 2:0, but in the end, Željo, spurred on by the support of 13,000 fans, came back and remains in contention for advancing to the next stage of the competition.

The Blues were better on the field for most of the match and positioned themselves better than the Belarusian team, but naive mistakes cost them the win.

Dinamo took the lead with goals from counter-attacks, and Haračić scored two goals in the closing minutes, reviving hope for advancement.

In the 4th minute, Drljo crossed for Krpić, but the Željezničar striker was just short and didn't get a proper shot on goal.

From the 10th to the 12th minute, the ball was constantly in front of the guests' goal, but the Blues couldn't manage to push it into the net from the scramble on several occasions.

Then, Dinamo had a chance from a free kick on the other side; Bakić shot powerfully, and the ball went just wide of the post.

Željo missed a great chance in the 31st minute. Mekić shot from about 15 meters after a cross from Drljo and sent the ball just wide of the post.

In the 34th minute, Cocalić missed the impossible. He shot from five meters unimpeded and hit the Dinamo goalkeeper directly!

The punishment came six minutes later. Rustemović made a mistake and opened up a counter-attack for Dinamo, which Bakhar crowned with a goal for 1:0.

In the next attack, Krpić headed the ball wide.

Dinamo scored their second goal in the 50th minute, again due to a mistake by a Željo player. This time, Drljo gifted the ball, and after a counter-attack, Morozov scored to make it 2:0.

In the 56th minute, the Blues appealed for a penalty after a handball by a visiting player, but the Greek referee did not share their opinion.

There were no significant events at Grbavica for a long time, and Amoah missed a chance to revive the Blues' hope for advancement in the 76th minute. A Dinamo defender saved an undefended goal…

In the 79th minute, Bykov shot brilliantly from distance, but the ball went just wide of the post.

Dženan Haračić revived Željezničar's hope in the 85th minute, heading in a cross from Sulejman Krpić, thus giving the Blues hope that they could reach the second qualifying round.

This was followed by a total offensive from the Blues, which Haračić crowned with his second goal in stoppage time!

The match ended 2:2, and everything is open for the second leg.
