Željezničar eliminates Dinamo and advances to the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League

(Patria) - Željezničar defeated Dinamo Minsk 2-1 away in the return leg of the 1st qualifying round of the Conference League and advanced to the next stage of the competition, where they will face Neftchi from Azerbaijan. The Blues arrived in Baku, where this match was played, with a 2-2 draw from the first leg and secured their place in the next round with an excellent performance.

Željezničar will play in the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League after the team from Grbavica defeated Dinamo Minsk 2-1 with a great performance in Baku.

Nermin Bašić made some changes ahead of this match and started the game in a 3-5-2 formation. The Blues looked really good in the first half of this match, in which they were a significantly better opponent.

Dinamo missed another big chance in the 71st minute. Morozov found himself in a chance, Mulalić saved this time.

Then in the 78th minute, Željezničar took the lead again. Amoah played a great ball to Jašarević, who passed short to Sulejman Krpić, who scored to give Željezničar a 2-1 lead.

That was the final result of the match. The Blues defended until the end, Mulalić made a phenomenal save in the 88th minute after a shot by Sedko, and then two minutes later he stopped this player again.

I wish Dinamo luck in the championship, they are a fantastic club, I hope they win the championship. For us, it remains to prepare on the plane without euphoria for the next opponent. I am glad that we offered our fans another European match because they deserve it," said Bašić.
