The cost of labor in the European Union varies from country to country. The most expensive labor is in Denmark, where the hourly labor cost is 40.3 euros, and the cheapest is in Bulgaria, reports the Patria News Agency.
Last year, the most expensive labor in the EU was in Denmark, followed by Belgium. The average hourly labor cost in the EU was 24.6 euros, and 29.6 euros in the eurozone.
However, the cost of labor is very uneven in the EU. The highest hourly labor cost last year was in Denmark at 40.3 euros, followed by Belgium at 39.1 euros, and Sweden at 37.4 euros, according to the European statistical office Eurostat.
The cheapest hourly labor cost was in Bulgaria at 3.8 euros, followed by Romania at 4.6 euros and Lithuania at 6.5 euros.
Last year, the cost of labor in industry was highest in Belgium, costing an average of 44.1 euros per hour, followed by Denmark at 42.1 euros and Sweden at 41.8 euros.
