Zakat on Agricultural Products: Collection Campaign from 17 to 27 October

(Patria) - The Zakat Office of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina informs Muslims, members of the Islamic Community in BiH, that this year's campaign for collecting zakat on agricultural products will be organized from 17 to 27 October 2025.

The collection will be carried out through congregations in the area of all councils in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The collected agricultural products will be directed to the nearest educational institutions of the Islamic Community, where they will serve for the nutrition of users, while part will be intended for assistance to socially vulnerable persons.

The Zakat Office reminds that the obligation of giving zakat on agricultural products is clearly confirmed by Sharia regulations, and believers are invited to set aside the best part of what Allah gives them, not to be stingy, nor to set aside what they themselves would not accept.

"We pray to the Almighty Allah that we may be among those who are grateful for His blessings and who express their gratitude by fulfilling His commands and purifying their wealth through zakat," stated the Zakat Office.
