ZDK: Education of inspectors and education workers on prevention and fight against corruption agreed

(Patria) - A meeting of representatives of the Office for the Fight against Corruption (UBPK), the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs (KUZIP), and the Pedagogical Institute (PZ) of ZDK was held in Zenica, where a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the field of prevention and fight against corruption was signed.

Experiences were exchanged at the meeting, and cooperation plans for the next period were developed.

Head of UBPK, Dževad Fejzić, said that this cooperation is also foreseen by the Action Plan for the implementation of the current Strategy for the Fight against Corruption in ZDK.

- The memorandum is the result of joint work on creating conditions for cooperation, and this is a very serious step forward for UBPK. I am convinced that this cooperation will yield serious results on the ground - said Fejzić.

The memorandum provides for lectures on the topics of fighting corruption to be included in the annual work plans of primary and secondary schools in ZDK, as well as additional training for teachers, and an action plan for the next period has already been developed.

- The start is planned for December, when World Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated, when we will intensify our activities. I am particularly pleased by the fact that we exchanged experiences today.

I expect other institutions to get involved so that we can help each other reduce the scourge of corruption in society - said the director of PZ in Zenica, Aida Salkić.

Director of KUZIP, Besim Spahić, emphasized that the prevention and fight against corruption, i.e., the suppression of corrupt practices, is one of the strategic goals of this administration.

- This memorandum will support our commitment, and through the exchange of information and cooperation we have agreed upon, we will actively work on preventing all these phenomena that our inspectors encounter in the field, and in this way try to be more transparent and adequately address and eliminate all these issues that we observe - said Spahić.

Cooperation in the next period also envisages the presence of representatives of the Office for the Fight against Corruption during inspection controls carried out by KUZIP inspectors.
