Education Minister and two others arrested over police recruitment, phones and documentation seized from MUP USK

(Patria) - Under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Una-Sana Canton, members of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton, in the early morning hours, searched the official premises and the apartment of Osmankić Denis, the Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Una-Sana Canton in Bihać, as well as the apartments of Ćerimović Aladin and Pajić Endy.

The searches were carried out under the order of the Municipal Court in Bihać in order to find evidence related to the commission of the criminal offense of accepting a reward or other benefit for trading in influence under Article 382, paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the suspects used their political and influential positions to privilege certain candidates during the procedure for the admission of police officers to the rank of police officer in the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton.

Based on the same order, mobile phones of certain individuals, as well as all documentation related to the specific tender procedure, were seized from the official premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton.

Following the execution of the court order, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Una-Sana Canton Osmankić Denis, Ćerimović Aladin, and Pajić Endy were deprived of their liberty, and after criminal processing, they will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Una-Sana Canton.
