(Patria) - Due to occasional heavy showers and large amounts of water accumulating on the road surface, traffic is hampered on most roads in BiH. The risk of landslides has increased on sections passing through cuttings. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution on all roads and to adjust their driving to the road conditions.
Due to regular servicing of the Gaj and Igman tunnels, the left tunnel tube on the A-1 highway section Lepenica-Sarajevo zapad is closed. While the works are underway, traffic is redirected to the right tunnel tube, in both directions.
Due to road repair works on the A-1 highway section Kakanj-Lašva, the left side of the highway is closed for a length of 3 km, and vehicles are being directed to use the opposite side of the highway in both directions.
On the A-1 highway sections: Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica, and Bijača-Počitelj (over the Hercegovina bridge), traffic is redirected to the overtaking lane due to ongoing works.
Movement of all vehicles over the bridge on the main road Dobro Polje-Miljevina is prohibited. Vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons can use the roads over Grepak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of gravel road), while trucks must use the route via Rogatica and Ustiprača.
On the main road Tuzla-Bijeljina (Banj Brdo), vehicles up to 3.5 tons are using one lane, alternately, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons remains suspended.
On the main road Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons remains suspended.
On the main road M-5 border crossing Izačić-Bihać, bridge reconstruction works are being carried out. Vehicles are being redirected to a temporary bypass in the immediate vicinity of the works, with alternating passage.
Today, from 08:00 to 16:00, road maintenance works will be carried out on the Jajce-Jezero road, which may cause slow traffic at the worksite.
At border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles range from 10 to 30 minutes.
Due to passenger registration under the new EU entry/exit system (EES), longer delays at border crossings are possible.
Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
