Due to Kabiri's attack, Karić requested a reaction from Minister Konaković

(Patria) - The Mayor of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Benjamina Karić, sent a letter and a "request for mediation" yesterday to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, following a series of provocations by Israeli businessman Amir Gross Kabiri, president of M. T. Abraham Group, the group that manages Mostar's "Aluminij" and vice-president of Mostar's Zrinjski.

Let us recall, after Karić's report, the Federal Police Administration (FUP) was also involved in the entire case, and the Mayor of Sarajevo was provided with police protection, Radio Sarajevo reports.

As you had the opportunity to see in the media, Karić writes, for a longer period I have been a victim of daily harassment by the president of Abraham Group and executive director of "Aluminij" d.d. Mostar, Amir Gross Kabiri.

"After the attacks became increasingly brutal, all because of my public condemnation of the killing of innocent civilians in Palestine and Israel, I was forced to file a report with the Federal Police Administration against the said person. After my reaction, Kabiri did not stop, on the contrary, he continued, so a package sent directly by the said person arrived at my office, addressed to me personally, all with the aim of further pressure and intimidation," stated Karić, Radiosarajevo.ba reports.

Along with the increasingly pronounced threats, support also came from our officials, namely: Prime Minister of the FBiH Government Nermin Nikšić, Minister of Human Rights and Refugees Sevlid Hurtić, Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ram Isak, Member of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Šemsudin Mehmedović and Saša Magazinović, Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk, Mayor of Travnik Prof. Dr. Kenan Dautović, Mayor of Stari Grad-Sarajevo Municipality Irfan Čengić, President of the Sarajevo City Council Jasmin Ademović, Association of Generals of BiH, Association "Movement of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa", representatives of women's associations and safe houses, Toni Vukadin, Muamer Mekić and Seid Škaljić, city councilors, as well as many other representatives of the executive and legislative authorities in our country.

"The support I received from the representatives of the Jewish Community of BiH among the first means a lot to me," stated Karić.

In addition to the support from elected officials and representatives of various levels of government, as well as many organizations and associations, there is also, she stated, enormous public support, especially from the citizens of the City of Sarajevo, "who, just like me, condemn every innocent victim".

"Taking into account the above, I kindly ask you, in accordance with the competencies of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, to inform the Ambassador of Israel to BiH, Ms. Galit Peleg, about everything, especially regarding the unacceptable behavior of a foreign citizen of Israel in BiH, Amir Gross Kabiri, due to whose actions and activities my personal safety, as well as the safety of my family, has been compromised, and for their protection, police protection has been provided.

I am convinced that due to the seriousness of the situation, you will use your authority, and that based on that, you will react appropriately in accordance with your capabilities and competencies," Karić concludes in the letter addressed to Minister Konaković.
