Lilies or Palestine: Instructions from the FA of BiH - Only state symbols to the stadium!

(Patria) - The "A" national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play its next home match in the EURO 2024 qualifiers against Portugal on October 16th at 8:45 PM at "Bilino Polje" in Zenica.

Given that the stadium is sold out to full capacity, the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a statement with instructions for the fans.

"Due to enhanced security measures that will be taken to prevent the entry of prohibited items and substances into the stadium premises, we call on fans to arrive at the stadium as early as possible.

Stadium gates open 2 hours before the start of the match.

Children under 7 years of age are not allowed to enter the stadium. We ask visitors not to bring children to the stadium because, given that the stadium is sold out and potential crowds at the entrance, you are endangering their safety. Children older than 7 must have a ticket.

It is permitted to bring flags and other fan materials exclusively with the state symbols of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Portugal.

We ask fans to follow the instructions of the security guards at the stadium, and to support our national team in this match with fair and correct cheering," stated the FA of BiH.

Given that it is common for the flag of the Republic of BiH, known for its lilies, to be displayed alongside the flag of the state of BiH at matches of the BiH national team, and with Vico Zeljković at the head of the federation, it is unclear whether the "lilies" are also banned from entering Bilino Polje, or if such an instruction was made due to the events in Gaza and Israel, and the FA of BiH fears the potential display of the flag of Palestine!
