Traffic halted on Zenica-Nemila road due to machine breakdown in Vranduk

(Patria) - Traffic has been halted due to a breakdown of a working machine in the Vranduk tunnel on the Zenica-Nemila main road.

Due to rain that fell during the night or is still falling, traffic is moving on roads that are intermittently wet or damp, and there is an increased risk of landslides. Vehicle traffic is lighter, and we ask drivers to travel only in necessary situations and to adhere to coronavirus protection measures. A complete ban on movement in BiH is in effect from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

In the area of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and West Herzegovina Canton, movement of all citizens outside their place of residence is prohibited.

On the A-1 Sarajevo west-Lepenica motorway section, due to servicing of the Gaj and Igman tunnels, traffic will be redirected in both directions using the opposite lane from 8:00 AM today until 8:00 PM tomorrow (22.04.). Temporary traffic signs have been placed, and we appeal to drivers to drive at a significantly reduced speed on this section.

On the main roads Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa (Una Canyon) and Srebrenik-Orašje (Ormanica tunnel), rehabilitation works are underway, causing traffic to move slowly in one lane at the work site.

On the regional road Crna Rijeka-Mrkonjić Grad (Bjelajce), traffic has been halted and redirected to alternative routes.

On the Zenica-Nemila main road, through the Vranduk tunnel, traffic flows in both directions from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. From 9:00 PM to 12:30 AM, vehicles are allowed through alternately, while from 12:30 AM to 5:00 AM, traffic through the tunnel is suspended. During the suspension, vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes total weight may use the bypass through the settlement of Tetovo, while vehicles over 7.5 tonnes must use the alternative routes Doboj-Šićki Brod-Sarajevo and Žepče-Zavidovići-Olovo-Sarajevo.

At the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing, there is increased traffic of freight vehicles exiting BiH.
