Electoral Campaign Makes Them Forget Golden Boys: Awards for Sitting Volleyball Players on Hold

Bosnia and Herzegovina's national sitting volleyball team, who on September 18, 2016, won their fifth medal (third silver medal) at the Paralympics, have not received a single convertible mark to date, writes the BH News Agency Patria. As they were told, it will be after the elections.

A press conference was organized at Sarajevo Airport the following day. Details that were not known to the general public until then were revealed. One of the players, Benis Kadrić, played even though he was banned due to two blood clots that caused him to be hospitalized. Despite this, our guys, led by coach Mirza Hrustemović, did not give up and once again brought a great medal to BiH. 

There was no spectacular reception. Representatives of the authorities attended the press conference, and numerous promises were made about better status and awards, and there were tears.

Candidates and mayors came and posed for photos before the local elections. They showed that they are with our most decorated national team. But there were no organized receptions due to the campaign for the local elections.

However, no one is saying that the municipalities should have given the awards. The question is why the authorities in the Sarajevo Canton, FBiH, and the Council of Ministers of BiH failed.

And the world and European champions will wait for better times!
