Collection of translations of a poem about Hatidža Mehmedović promoted in Sarajevo

SARAJevo, (Patria) - A book about the first president of the Association “Mothers of Srebrenica” Hatidža Mehmedović was promoted in Sarajevo today.

The book “Hatidža” is the work of Bosnian poet Mile Stojić.

Stojić published the poem in the book “Himna poraženih” (Anthem of the Defeated), and in 2017 he dedicated it to Hatidža Mehmedović.

On the day Mehmedović passed away, he posted the poem on Facebook, and this work was later translated into 19 world languages. Then, all the translations were combined into the book “Hatidža”.

The print run of this book will be donated to the Srebrenica Memorial Center in Potočari.

At the promotion, held at the Bosniak Institute "Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation", the speakers included: Stojić's wife Hasija Borić-Stojić, Mile Babić, Hilmo Neimarlija, Enes Duraković, Enes Karić, and Izudin Šikalo.
