Official part of protests in Sarajevo concluded: Enough, we don't want new protest sites due to the suffering of our citizens!

(Patria) - Protests organized by the informal citizens' group "Reci dosta" have begun in Sarajevo, following a severe tram accident in which Erdoan Morankić lost his life, Ella Jovanović is fighting for her life after her leg was amputated, and three others were injured.

According to the first photos from the scene, there are significantly more citizens today, especially young people, at the intersection near the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The banners they have displayed mainly carry messages of rebellion and anger due to everything that is happening in our country and society.

Hasija Borić, a professor and actress, stated that she sees rebellious messages from young people but is concerned that individuals are being arrested, referring to the tram driver, instead of seeking the causes.

"I cannot send political messages, but I remember the song by the group 4M 'Neka visi Pedro' (Let Pedro hang), and all of this resembles that, especially the arrest of the driver, to make it 'Let Pedro hang'. We will take to the streets, primarily these young people. The moment of rebellion has come. If 60, 70 thousand people can come out for Jelena Rozga, then several thousand can come out here too," Borić emphasized.

One of the participants who knew the deceased Morankić said that it is a loss and sorrow for the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, and stated:

"Minister Adnan Šteta said last night that they had withdrawn the old trams, and I am standing at the station in Nedžarići and I see an old tram approaching. I demand the dismissal of Nihad Uk and this entire government."

Citizens have already blocked the main city road at the beginning of the protest, i.e., the entire intersection, thus halting traffic in both directions.

Sarajevo professor Vedran Zubić stated: "I don't want to think about whether my child will come home. I don't want to think about that. Enough is enough. Now come out, now talk, be men for once and tell this nation: we can't do it, bring someone else. Let's try something else.

These are all my children, I see them here. Let's protect our children. We should remember Erdoan and various Erdoans every day. We cannot live by looking only at our own yard, not caring about others.

Let's not treat children through fundraising campaigns, we are not asking for much."

Admir Čular Gagara from the group Helem Nejse stated that we are marking victims on our streets all too often. He sent a message wishing Ella Jovanović a speedy recovery.

The question arises: in what kind of society do we live, in which a simple walk is life-threatening, in which even an ordinary tree or a collapsing facade is a threat. In a society where no one has been held accountable for the illegal quarry in Jablanica. In a society where no one is ever responsible for anything.

We demand accountability for this accident, that the authorities finally take responsibility. Above all, we want this to be the last time we gather here because of someone's death. We are keeping vigil over Erdoan until responsibility for his death is established."

The protests concluded with messages of support for the injured, and raising a fist in the air as a message of "enough". The attendees were invited to disperse peacefully.
