Tenth protests in Sarajevo concluded: 'We will not give up the fight, we do not need another tragedy'

(Patria) - The tenth protest rally, organized today in Sarajevo by an informal group of young people due to the tragic tram accident in which student from Brčko Erdoan Morankić died on February 12, and four people were injured, has concluded.

The gathering began at 12:00 PM in front of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which the participants, this time in smaller numbers than at previous gatherings, continued their protest march towards the building of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, and then towards Sebilj.

Students, elderly people, and parents seeking justice for their children responded to the protests.

The gathered participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the low turnout of citizens on this occasion.

For a month now, the protests have been demanding that the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the tram accident.

Organizers have previously presented several demands, including establishing the responsibility of the authorities, ensuring safe public transport, and conducting an independent investigation into the tram accident while informing the public about its results.

The gathered participants also stated today that they will not give up until responsibility is established and appropriate measures are taken to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

"We will not give up the fight, we will continue to raise awareness among other people. We do not need another tragedy," they said.
