
(Patria) - A High-Level Visitors' Day was held today at the EUFOR base in Butmir as part of the "Quick Response 2025" military exercise. At the beginning, EUFOR Commander Major General Folirian Marijan Barbu and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Luigi Soreca addressed the attendees.
Soreca emphasized that the event is important because it shows the professionalism of soldiers from 25 countries and the EU's lasting commitment to security and stability in BiH. He highlighted the significance of the presence of Operation "Althea" and the European contribution to regional security, especially in the context of geopolitical challenges and the war in Eastern Europe.
Commander Barbu stated that the exercise represents a demonstration of unity, readiness, and international cooperation. High Representative Christian Schmidt, Deputy Minister of Defence Aleksandar Goganović, Deputy Minister of Security Ivica Bošnjak, US Chargé d'Affaires John Ginkel, and others also attended the exercise.
During the exercise, multinational units conducted tactical approaches, including an Aviation Unit. The exercise, which began on September 9, aimed to improve operational readiness, strengthen cooperation, and reaffirm EUFOR's commitment to the security and stability of BiH.
