First phase of works on the Nemila-Teslić regional road completed

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Nezir Pivić, along with the Minister for Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection Adnan Šabani and Member of Parliament Alen Kapković visited the final works of the first phase of the rehabilitation of the regional road R473 Nemila - Bistričak - Teslić.

The value of the realized investment is 400,000 KM. The works included the installation of two layers of asphalt on a 400-meter section, the construction of two pedestrian paths, as well as the complete reconstruction of the storm water drainage system.

Prime Minister Pivić emphasized that the ZDK Government continues to invest heavily in road infrastructure throughout the canton, with the aim of increasing the safety of all road users and the balanced development of local communities.

- The modernization of the Nemila - Teslić regional road is part of a broader investment cycle in 2026. We are continuing with investments that will contribute to safer traffic, better connectivity of settlements, and higher quality living conditions for citizens - stated Pivić.



Minister Šabani stressed that with the completion of the first phase, the continuity of investments on this road route has been maintained.

- We have completed the first segment of works, 400 meters long, and two more phases are planned this year on the Nemila - Bistričak route.

With this investment, the total investment on this road route in 2026 will amount to approximately 1.2 million KM, and with regular maintenance, an additional 300,000 KM, totaling around 1.5 million KM.

This is extremely important for the residents of the local communities gravitating to this area - said Šabani.

Member of Parliament Kapković pointed out that the pace of work was slowed down due to unfavorable weather conditions, but that faster realization of the next sections is expected in the continuation.

- A new phase of works on this section of the road will follow soon - said Kapković.

The relevant ministry and the ZDK Government have invested around two million KM in projects for the modernization and regular maintenance of regional roads in the Nemilski sliv area over the past two years.
