MP Silajdžić on FBiH Government's Plan: You Want to Seize the Steel Mill's Property, and After the Elections, Let it Fall into an Abyss

(Patria) - Federal MP Haris Silajdžić (SBiH) publicly warned about the Federation Government's plan regarding a special law for the Zenica Steel Mill.

"The imposed Government, led by the biggest gravediggers of the FBiH (SDP), has proposed a Law by which it wants to seize the private company Nova Željezara Zenica and place it under its control!

What is (all) wrong with that? Seizing private property is incomprehensible to people of sound mind, and if that were all, it would already be too much! They say they want to save the workers!? I personally spoke with many employees, and I invite the media to do the same, instead of talking to the union president who is an SDP member and earns over 4000 KM, and does nothing but act as the party's megaphone at the Steel Mill. I also ask, where is your concern for the workers of Krivaja, Koksara, Zrak, the mines in Zenica?

They say they want to save the Steel Mill!? Where have you been until now? Do you know how many debts Mital had? Tens and hundreds of millions of KM, and they fled, so now you've come as saviors of the company. Your abilities are known to the public, let's recall the collapsed railway in Jablanica, where for 20 meters of track you waited for charity, and from a private entity to solve your problem.

After the debacle of the past 3 and a half years of governance and budget deficits, you remembered that there is a Steel Mill with a lot of remaining property and goods that can be sold off, with which you intend to gain short-term benefit and buy votes, and after the elections, let the company fall into a complete abyss (and the lawsuit from the private owner from whom you are seizing the company will further cost the Federation and its citizens hundreds of millions of KM, because seizing private property is a precedent of global proportions that will surely have its judicial epilogue). Why didn't you buy it after Mital left and "save" the Steel Mill?", states Silajdžić.

He further states that public companies have already been destroyed, and now private ones are being seized.

"Finally, I pose an open question: Are you seizing the property of Nova Željezara Zenica in order to hand it over to Čović's business partners, for whom you seized the 'South Interconnection' project from BH Gas, so that they can produce even more expensive electricity within the Steel Mill complex?", wrote Silajdžić.
