House of Representatives Adopts Initiative Demanding Galić's Dismissal from Council of Ministers

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly today adopted an initiative by MP Sabina Ćudić, demanding the dismissal of the Deputy Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Zoran Galić from the BiH Council of Ministers.

Of the 34 representatives present for the vote, 30 supported the initiative, while four were against.


Outcome of the vote on the Initiative

As a reminder, Galić has been on the run since July 8 and has not justified his absence. He first requested sick leave, which he failed to obtain, and then annual leave, which SIPA Director Darko Ćulum did not approve.

Galić's shift list has not been updated since July 8, nor has his salary been paid. Through his legal team, he submitted a request for early dismissal due to meeting the conditions for retirement.

However, ministers from the Bosniak constituent people do not wish to support such a solution and are demanding his dismissal without any benefits.

An Interpol red notice has been issued for Galić, and he is suspected of abuse of office during his tenure as Director of the BiH Border Police.

Galić has been a loyal cadre of the HDZ for years, having served two terms as head of the BiH Border Police, and has been the Deputy Director of SIPA since February 2023.
