SDP representatives in the TK Assembly: We do not support a coalition with SDA

TUZLA, (Patria) - Regarding the non-statutory session of the Cantonal Committee of SDP BiH Tuzla, at which, contrary to the Statute and decisions of the Main Board of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a Decision on coalition with the Party of Democratic Action was adopted, the SDP Deputy Club in the Assembly of Tuzla Canton informs the public, i.e., the citizens of Tuzla Canton, that under no circumstances will they violate the decisions of the Main Board and the Congress of the SDP, nor will they, in the manner desired by certain individuals in the Cantonal Committee, „hand over“ Tuzla Canton to the SDA.

"In the previous period, the SDA, through its decisions, undermined any possibility for the SDP to enter government at the state and federal levels, by providing decisive support in the election of delegates from HDZ and SNSD to the Houses of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby enabling HDZ and SNSD absolute control and blockade of all processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, under the guise of false concern for the people and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SDA significantly strengthened the position of HDZ and SNSD. For these reasons, among others, the Main Board of the SDP, at its session held on February 9, 2019, made a decision that the SDP will not form a coalition with the SDA, HDZ, and SNSD, and we wish to note that only the Main Board, according to the SDP Statute, is responsible for making decisions on possible coalitions," states the SDP Deputy Club in the TK Assembly. 

The SDP Deputy Club in the Assembly of Tuzla Canton will under no circumstances abandon the principles of the SDP and does not wish to violate the Statute and decisions of the Main Board in any way. Also, in conclusion, we note that we will support any democratic expression of views and opinions within the competent party bodies, but we do not support the deliberate confusion of SDP members and citizens of Tuzla Canton. We will not and do not wish to support in any way actions that are non-statutory or contrary to the acts and decisions of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Incidentally, the SDP Deputy Club in the TK Assembly has 10 deputies.
