Security guards, police officers and pilots must regularly undergo detailed tests!

Psychologist Abdulah Kučukalić says that experts can identify in individuals those factors that can lead to extreme situations, and therefore citizens who perform jobs as security guards, police officers, pilots and similar jobs must regularly undergo detailed tests.

Kučukalić told the Bosnian news agency Patria that some individuals have innate factors that can cause a person to react inappropriately in certain situations, such as reaching for a weapon and the like, and that such individuals should be given jobs, i.e. roles in society, from which they would not pose a danger to other people.

A police officer from the Federal Police Administration killed his girlfriend on Monday evening in Sarajevo, firing several bullets into her.

Since 2012, three police officers in Bosnia and Herzegovina have shot their girlfriends, and one of them later committed suicide.

- There are several factors for aggressive behavior towards family members, closest relatives, citizens... The strongest of these risk factors is a disorder in the structure of personality. Such individuals who have certain pathological characteristics, where the dominant symptom is reduced tolerance for frustration, impulsive reaction to the slightest provocation... Later, such individuals most often feel remorse, but that is worthless because the deed is already done - says Dr. Kučukalić, adding that there is a whole range of other factors that can influence a person to react impulsively in certain situations.

Kučukalić explains that impulsive reactions are also caused by jealousy, feelings of inferiority, lack of self-esteem, etc. Some individuals, says Kučukalić, simply react aggressively to unrequited love, NAP writes.
