PROTECTION OF CONSTITUTIONALITY SDA, DF, and SBiH MPs Submitted a Request to the Constitutional Court of FBiH for the Adoption of a Temporary Measure

(Patria) - Jasina Biščević-Tokić announced that today, on behalf of the parliamentary groups of SDA, DF, and SBiH in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, she submitted a request to the Constitutional Court of FBiH for the adoption of a temporary measure in case U-7/24, which the Court will consider at its session scheduled for May 27, 2024.

The request stated, among other things:

"As actively legitimate applicants for resolving the dispute between 40 MPs and the leadership of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, and in order to prevent the occurrence of harmful consequences for constitutionality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we request the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH to, in the case registered under number U-7/24, in accordance with the provisions of the Rules of Procedure of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH ('Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH' numbers: 4/10 and 18/16), issue a Decision on a temporary measure ordering the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament to postpone the consideration of the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH elected by the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, until a final decision is made by the Constitutional Court of FBiH in case U-7/24".

We remind you that on May 27, the Constitutional Court will consider all four requests from federal MPs from the opposition for resolving the dispute with the leadership of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament due to the endangerment of their rights as MPs.
