SDA Collegium Met: We Demand Novalić's Release

SARAJevo, (Patria) - In response to the detention of Federation Prime Minister Fadil Novalić by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the BiH Prosecutor's Office, the SDA Collegium met in an extraordinary session today.

"We reiterate that the SDA supports the fight of BiH institutions against corruption. However, it is quite evident that the proceedings against Federation Prime Minister Fadil Novalić are politically motivated. The SDA Collegium calls on SIPA, the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and the BiH Court to act responsibly and solely on the basis of the Constitution and laws, as the consequences of political instrumentalization can be devastating for the functioning of the Federation of BiH and for all its citizens.

We call on these institutions to immediately release the Federation Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and allow him to perform his prime ministerial duties normally," the SDA announced.
