(Patria) - The fourth session of the College of the House of Representatives was held in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but a session of the House itself has not been scheduled. Recall, the College had convened earlier as well, but there were no sessions of the House, except for the constitutive one held back in early December, and the scheduling of an emergency session on the migrant crisis in BiH, which never started due to lack of quorum.
In a statement for N1, the Chairwoman of the College, Borjana Krišto, confirmed this. She could not specify when the session would be held. More than seven months have passed since the elections, and the deputies have convened only once!
"I hope and believed that was said. We stated that we do not have the procedural prerequisites for the functioning of the House. The moment we receive proposals for standing political committees, we will have the prerequisites for work," said Krišto.
The working bodies, i.e., parliamentary committees, have not been formed because SNSD refuses to submit proposals, conditioning everything on the formation of the Council of Ministers. The expanded College of the House of Representatives decided on January 16 to postpone the scheduled session of the House, where committee members were to be elected. It was then stated that a certain number of clubs from both entities had not submitted the names of their representatives for the working bodies, and the conditions for forming standing working bodies had not been met.
