Official car used by Mostar Mayor Mario Kordić set on fire

(Patria) - Mario Kordić, the mayor of Mostar, announced on social media that the official vehicle of the City of Mostar, which he uses in performing his duties, was set on fire last night.

He stated that the incident was reported to the police.

"Recently, we have been witnessing the organized creation of a narrative of hatred and attacks on my work solely because we protect the interests of the City of Mostar. Such a narrative has its consequences — and this event clearly shows the goal of those who incite it. I am sorry that we have reached a situation where, due to performing our duties, we must seek police protection, but that will not stop us. We continue to work dedicatedly, responsibly, and exclusively in the interest of Mostar," Kordić wrote.

Finally, he announced that upon the conclusion of the investigation, he will inform the public of all findings in a timely manner.
