RS MUP Gendarmerie Guards Area Around Potočari Memorial Center, Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies Officers Inside Complex

(Patria) - Two RS gendarmerie vans appeared this morning near the Potočari Memorial Center where they apparently intend to "guard" the graveyard of the Srebrenica genocide victims from a possible "attack by Bosniaks on the graveyard," as can be heard among the people of Srebrenica.

"We have heard and seen all sorts of things before, not only regarding the denial of genocide but also concerning the security situation in Srebrenica, but what we are hearing these days crosses the boundaries of the highest level of madness and paranoia.

We have learned that the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs informed the Coordination of Police Bodies via a dispatch that, imagine this, Bosniaks will attack the Memorial Center on Easter days, specifically on May 6th, in order to later accuse Serbs of doing it.

For five or six days now, information from this alleged dispatch has been circulating in the RS media, which, as far as I know, was first published by ATV.

According to this fabrication, it turns out that Bosniaks are planning a descent on the Memorial Center.

Truly unheard of, but also transparent," said Alija Tabaković, president of SDA Srebrenica and president of the Club of Bosniaks in the Council of Peoples, for Politicki.ba, in response to our inquiry about the reasons for deploying RS police forces in the immediate vicinity of the Memorial Center.

Tabaković states that today is a completely ordinary, peaceful day in Srebrenica, Orthodox believers are celebrating their religious holiday, and nothing indicates that anyone might "cause unrest and attack the Memorial Center."

According to the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs dispatch, officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies are within the Potočari complex and say that there have been no problems so far.
