Imagine life in a building through which trains pass daily

(Patria) - Liziba station in Chongqing, China, is probably the only railway station in the world located in the middle of a residential building, writes Punkufer.

It is special because it is located between the sixth and eighth floors of a 19-story residential building - and it is truly an incredible sight to watch trains pass through the bowels of the skyscraper.

The train was planned at the same time as the building itself; the tracks were not laid through an existing skyscraper afterwards, although it is often thought otherwise.

Incredibly, but true - residents hardly hear any noise thanks to excellent insulation.

Liziba station is a favorite attraction in Chongqing, and besides watching trains or riding them, visitors come to the tourist center with exhibitions and souvenirs.

Located in the mountains in southwestern China, the Chinese city of Chongqing is unique in the world. Due to its special geographical location, it had no room to grow anywhere else but upwards, which resulted in peculiar architecture.

Traditional urban planning was not possible, so the city grew into a multi-layered labyrinth.

For tourists, and even some local residents (out of the 32 million who live there), exploring Chongqing and getting lost in its streets are the biggest attractions.
