Hearing Scheduled: Dodik at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday

(Patria) - A hearing has been scheduled at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the case "Dodik Milorad and others" against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska, Miloš Lukić.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment against Dodik and Lukić on August 11 for failing to implement the decisions of High Representative Christian Schmidt. The indictment was confirmed a month later.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected all objections raised by Dodik's attorney regarding the confirmed indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who argued that the criminal offense for which Dodik is charged does not exist because, according to them, Schmidt is illegal.

Dodik and Lukić are charged with violating Article 203a, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., for failing to implement the orders of the High Representative.

"An official in an institution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, Brčko District, or in a canton, city, or municipality, or local community, or any body of local government and self-government, or a responsible person who fails to apply, implement, execute, or otherwise respect a decision of the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, or who prevents or otherwise obstructs the application, implementation, or execution of such a decision, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of six months to five years," reads the aforementioned article of the law.

The hearing in the case "Dodik Milorad and others" will be held on Monday, October 16, starting at 1:00 PM. The presiding judge of the Trial Chamber will be Judge Jasmina Ćosić-Dedović.
