Joint action by Ministers Fišo, Karačić and Rešidat: Housing problem of the Azinović family resolved

The housing problem of the five-member family of Davor Azinović was resolved today through the joint engagement and interdepartmental action of the ministers for veterans' affairs, labour, social policy, displaced persons and refugees, and culture and sports of the Sarajevo Canton, Muharem Fišo, Karolina Karačić and Samer Rešidat, reports the news agency Patria.

This family belongs to the category of the veteran population and at the same time lives in a difficult material situation because no one in the family has permanent employment.

- My wife is seriously ill, our son has health problems and I am in poor health, and we have been threatened with eviction from the apartment that was given to us for use by the Housing Construction Fund of the Sarajevo Canton - Azinović stated to the present ministers his current most difficult life problems.

At the proposal of Minister Fišo, and in coordination with Minister Karačić and Minister Rešidat, it was agreed that the currently only available so-called „social apartment“ in the Otes settlement, with an area of 65m², will be allocated to this family for use.

In addition to the apartment, the ministers expressed readiness to find a job for Azinović and enable free swimming for his ill son in one of the Sarajevo swimming clubs, in order to at least somewhat improve his health condition.

On this occasion, Ministers Fišo and Rešidat announced a visit to the Azinović family, which will be carried out tomorrow, as they wish to see the entire family together and get to know their children as well.

Support for the proposed solutions to all problems of this family was also given by the representative in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton, Semir Halilović, who attended today's meeting.
