Joint training of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom will last from October 20 to December 1

(Patria) - Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom will carry out joint activities and training at the military locations Rajlovac-Sarajevo, Dubrave-Tuzla, "Mika Bosnić"- Manjača and "Božan Šimović"- Čapljina, in the period from October 20 to December 1, 2024.

This year's joint activity will include advanced training for urban operations and leadership development, along with training for international peacekeeping operations. At the same time, military units from both countries will also undergo training in atomic-biological-chemical defense. The joint training will enable military professionals from both countries to exchange experiences and work alongside each other, developing interoperability and operational compatibility.

This training is an upgrade to the long-standing cooperation that exists between the AF BiH and the United Kingdom in the field of defense capability building, through which members of the AF BiH acquire new knowledge, skills, and abilities through joint work. Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom will also have the opportunity this year to use the improved training facilities at the Combat Training Center on Manjača and the urban training facility at the Dubrave-Tuzla location, the development of which has been supported by the Government of the United Kingdom.

By using such facilities in conducting training, members of the AF BiH improve their capabilities for greater contribution to international peacekeeping operations around the world.
