Association demands: Indictments for the siege, implementation of the Revised Strategy and Annex B cases

(Patria) - Representatives of the organizations Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, "Movement
of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves", "Woman of Podrinje" and "Women of Srebrenica", held a meeting with Halil Lagumdžija, President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTV) and his associates.

"We again insisted on the implementation of the Revised Strategy and Annex B - cases for which the Hague Prosecutor's Office gave consent for prosecution in BiH. It is unacceptable that in BiH there are no indictments for the sieges of five so-called protected UN zones, and we demanded accountability from those who are clearly knowingly obstructing the filing of indictments for the sieges.

Suspected criminals today, as in previous decades, flee to Serbia and Croatia, and our judiciary does nothing to prevent this or to bring the criminals to BiH.

The detention policy is catastrophic and special security measures must be introduced for
suspects. Victims and witnesses informed the President of the VSTV about other problems in the prosecution of war criminals and warned that accumulated problems have not been resolved for years and that victims will be forced to initiate mechanisms they have not used before, with the aim of protecting the integrity of victims and the state of BiH," the association stated.
