Zahiragić responds to Vulin: Dayton may not survive, but Bosnia and Herzegovina will

(Patria) - Dayton may not survive, but Bosnia and Herzegovina will, despite Vulins and Dodiks, wrote the delegate in the Federal House of Peoples and SDA Vice-President Haris Zahiragić on his Facebook profile today.

"Aleksandar Vulin, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, says that if the verdict against Dodik stands, neither Dayton nor Bosnia and Herzegovina will survive.

If a high-ranking official of the Republic of Serbia, as a signatory to the peace agreement, as a state party to the conflict, and as a convicted aggressor, claims that the peace agreement will not survive, then he should be taken extremely seriously.

Therefore, Serbia indeed has both de facto and de iure the possibility to endanger the peace agreement and its survival, and thus peace.

However, the survival of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not, and will not be, decided by Serbia, because if it were, Bosnia and Herzegovina would no longer exist.

Many decision-makers in Serbia throughout history have tried to prevent Bosnia's existence, and they have failed.

They will not succeed today either, when Bosniaks, who have a deep and unbreakable connection with Bosnia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina itself, are stronger than they have ever been in the last few centuries.

And finally, I agree with Vulin on one thing - foreigners do come and go, and we remain next to each other. This is an important message that he should understand first, and only then direct it to us.

It is high time to finally come to terms with the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina is an independent state, that Bosniaks are an indigenous people of Bosnia who feel the borders of Bosnia as the borders of their skin, that Bosniaks are a political nation - a status we have bloodily earned - and that because of this, you must start respecting us, because Bosniaks also respect all peoples in Bosnia, as well as all their neighboring countries and peoples.

It is also high time to understand that we will never take what belongs to others, but we will not give up what is ours! Not even at the cost of peace, not even at the cost of life...", Zahiragić wrote.
