During the match between Croatia and Brazil, demonstrators smashed streets in Rio de Janeiro

While the eyes of the whole world were on the opening of the World Cup and the first match of the World Football Championship between Croatia and Brazil, demonstrations of dissatisfied citizens were taking place on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, reports the reporter of the BH News Agency Patria.

Poor citizens of Brazil, who are dissatisfied with the decision of the local government to invest huge amounts of money in organizing the World Cup, while on the other hand hundreds of thousands of people in this country do not have a secure existence, smashed shop windows and cars on the streets of Rio de Janeiro during the opening ceremony of the 20th World Football Championship, but the police managed to calm them down.

Protests continued during and after the match between Croatia and Brazil, but there was no violence, Patria reports.
