In six months, BiH exported goods worth 8.6 billion KM, and imported goods worth 13.6 billion KM

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Analysis of Foreign Trade Exchange of Bosnia and
Herzegovina for the period I - VI 2023, prepared by the Ministry of
Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.

The total merchandise trade of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first half of 2023 amounted
to 22 billion and 300.63 million KM, of which the value of exported goods was 8
billion and 682.04 million KM, and imported goods 13 billion and 618.59 million KM, while
the foreign trade deficit amounted to 4 billion and 936.55 million KM.

Total foreign trade exchange recorded a decrease of 2.14% in this period compared
to the same period last year, with a decrease in imports of 0.61% and a decrease in exports of 4.46%, while the
foreign trade deficit increased by 6.99%.

The European Union remains our main foreign trade partner, accounting for 64.26% of the total volume
of merchandise trade, followed by the signatory countries of the "CEFTA 2006"
with 14.33%, while other countries accounted for 21.41%.

Among the main trading partners, the highest import coverage by exports in the first
half of this year was with Austria at 176.59%, Croatia at 136.22%,
Slovenia at 126.72%, Germany at 88.04%, and Serbia at 76.83%.
